Tory and Allison

Recently, I had the chance to photograph Allison and Tory’s engagement session. We had a bit of a mix up on which library we were supposed to meet at, but when we finally got it together, we were able to get some great pics. These two are a great couple, and they’re so fun to be around! I can’t wait for the wedding!

A Christmas Surprise!

Heather is my wife’s cousin, and Brett and I used to work together years ago for either Direct TV or Dish Network, I honestly don’t remember which. The two have been dating for a while now. We always do Christmas with my wife Nichole’s family on Christmas Eve night, so when Brett sent me a text asking me if I could do him a favor, I had a hunch it would involve my camera, a ring, and a question asked on one knee. I was right! Nic and I tried all night not to give away the secret as we nervously nibbled turkey and dressing, making small talk in between bites. Finally, just as everyone gathered in the living room to open gifts, he gathered everyone’s attention, said a few words, dropped to a knee and popped the question. Heather said yes, and Christmas was a grand event this year. Nic and I are excited that Brett is joining the family and for how happy he makes our cousin Heather. Congrats to you both!

Destinee and Cody

Cody and Destinee are getting married this March; I won’t be photographing the wedding, though. Am I sad? Heck no! I’m in the wedding :) . I’m glad I was at least able to photograph their engagements. We made the drive to Natchez, MS–where they got engaged– and strolled the streets and parks, hanging out as much as we were shooting. This is what the afternoon looked like:

Jamie

Jamie and I go way back. We grew up together back in my hometown, and we had the same circle of friends. We all spent hours together on church vans and Sunday school classes. I’ll never forget youth trips where she would lead all the girls in show-tunes and theatrical choruses as the van crept mile after mile down interstates and highways. The memory has morphed into a recurring nightmare. All jokes aside, our friendship is a nice reminder of days gone by. I couldn’t be happier for her as she embarks on her new life with her  husband Donnie.

Miss Clementine Prine

My good friends Cole and Elizabeth Prine have a new born on their hands, and a cute one at that. I was more than happy to drive out to their home, camera in hand, to meet Clementine.

The McDaniels

John and Kim are fellow photographers, so when they asked me to do some family pics for them, I was over the hill ecstatic to get the chance to work with such talented people! During the shoot their son kept saying, “Rock-n-Roll!” This increased in fervor as the shoot went on, and I kept wondering what could he possibly be talking about. Then Kim and John went to their vehicle and busted out a couple of electric guitars and a Marshall amp, and it all made sense then. What a fun family! Rock-n-Roll!

Kaleb and JoyBeth Berry

Kaleb and JoyBeth’s wedding was such a great day. In just the short time I was able to be with the couple, I was able to pick up on the connection they shared. The ceremony was beautiful. I don’t think they’ll ever forget being announced as the Dorks :) .  They both had the biggest smiles that day. I wish the Berrys a lifetime of love and happiness. Here are a few pics from their wedding day, and I’ll be adding some of their fun booth pics in the next few days.

The Copelands

Once upon a time, about a year ago, my good friends Josh and Holly eloped in NYC. After spending months in marital bliss, they thought they’d share a reception with friends and family. Everyone had a good time, laughing and dancing and sharing their joy for Josh and Holly’s new life together. We brought along our fun booth and props for this one. I’d like to wish my friends, the Copelands, years and years of happiness together.
